Bottega Veneta & Robert Polidori Collaboration

I have followed Robert Polidori's breathtaking photographic visions of luxury and decay for some time and even scraped together enough money to purchase his "After the Flood" a poignant, beautiful and tragic visual commentary on the devastation of Katrina and New Orleans, as soon as it was available. You will find images from Polidori's (Canadian, born, 1951) "Havana" "Versailles" and "After the Flood" on this blog- they do not do justice to the striking originals which are bold and color saturated, yet at the same time, nuanced views of uncovered and recovered worlds.

In this especially appropriate collaboration with the incomparable Bottega Veneta, I was captivated by the intertwined worlds of Venetian history, architecture and fashion which irresistibly and instantly draw the visitor inside a timeless, luxurious vacuum.

Thank you to Professor Dane Morrison for bringing this to my attention.
